Qualifications:
* Professional accounting experience with 7+ years post-qualified.
* Extensive knowledge of accounting principles, including GAAP, IFRS, and regulatory standards.
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English, capable of presenting to senior leadership.
* Proven leadership abilities to manage and motivate a team.
* Experience with financial systems and software, with advanced Excel skills; MS Dynamics experience is a plus.
* Ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong attention to detail, technical, and automation skills.
* Self-starter with excellent interpersonal skills, flexible, team-oriented, and capable of managing priorities.
* Experience in preparing VAT, corporate tax returns, and statutory financial statements in collaboration with tax advisors.
* Consolidation experience is advantageous.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee daily operations of the core accounting department, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
* Develop and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance.
* Oversee preparation of financial statements and provide insights to leadership.
* Analyze financial data and monitor KPIs to improve financial performance.
* Collaborate with legal, strategic finance, and tax departments to align business objectives.
* Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes.
* Manage relationships with external auditors and facilitate audits.
* Provide coaching, mentoring, and performance evaluations to the accounting team.
* Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes to improve processes.
* Identify automation opportunities to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
* Lead ad-hoc projects to add value and insights.
* Reconcile balance sheet accounts and prepare supporting documentation.
* Assist with onboarding acquisition accounting and assessing financial status.
* Support new processes and system implementations as needed.
