The
EMEA IT SAP Financials Business Process Architect (EMEA SAP FI-CO BPA)
is responsible for supporting the planning and execution of the IT Strategy for the EMEA Region. The role involves driving the adoption of a global model based on the US SAP ECC system and rolling out the solution across European companies. The architect reports to the EMEA IT ERP Program Lead and executes assigned activities, including analyzing, developing, and deploying the GPI SAP solution in collaboration with EU Business Process Enablers and Local Referents. The role also involves contributing to the platform's evolution to meet new requirements in line with the IT strategy.
This position can be based in Spain or Poland.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the rollout of the GPI US SAP system in the Controlling and Finance areas within the EMEA region.
- Developing in-depth process knowledge and supporting current business and operational processes such as Product Costing Controlling, Variance Analysis, Sales & Profitability Controlling (CO-PA), Project System Controlling, and Finance (GL, AP, AR, AA, SL).
- Ensuring integration with SAP modules like MM, SD, PP, and S/4HANA Central Finance.
- Acting as a liaison between business and IT departments to facilitate smooth communication.
- Working closely with internal US/EMEA IT teams and external partners.
- Managing application maintenance, troubleshooting, modifications, and enhancements in the EMEA region.
- Documenting processes, delivering user training, and supporting projects under the guidance of the Program Lead.
- Facilitating stakeholder requirements negotiation and supporting business process modeling.
- Supporting data cleansing activities and managing data uploads.
- Contributing to testing, migration, and go-live activities, including defining test approaches and supporting data migration.
- Participating in defining rollout strategies and implementation roadmaps.
Required skills and competencies include:
- Over 7 years of professional experience in SAP CO and at least 5 years in SAP FI.
- Experience with large IT transformation programs in complex, international environments.
- Strong background in financial business processes and SAP design/customization.
- Knowledge of EDIs, LSMW, BAPIs, BADIs, and enhancement techniques; familiarity with WinShuttle and ABAP is advantageous.
- Understanding of S/4HANA and related modules.
- Post-graduate degree in IT, Engineering, Economics, or related fields.
- Fluent English; additional European languages are a plus.
- Strong team player, change agent, results-driven, with excellent communication and analytical skills.
- Autonomous, rigorous, and accountable with a focus on delivering results.
