Senior Java Software Engineer to join our

Convert Team in Barcelona or Milan (hybrid). In this role, you will be at the heart of what the customer experiences when searching and booking their travel on our e‑commerce platform. If you’re ready to soar, we’re ready to take you there.

What you will do
\n
The Role’s Key Responsibilities and Tasks
\n
Opportunity to develop your skills with a cutting‑edge tech stack, including Java 11 and 17, Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka, Neo4J, ElasticSearch, Redis, Datadog, and Google Cloud Platform services like BigTable and BigQuery, along with Oracle databases.
\n
Create distributed, scalable microservices platforms, where software gets deployed daily, with high quality, clean code, SOLID principles, design patterns and TDD.
\n
Be independent when working with the modules on your area of expertise, in any phase of the SDLC.
\n
You will play a vital role in designing and developing advanced systems for our high‑demand search service, a core component of our platform, directly influencing its performance and reliability.
\n
Code the solutions with the highest quality through good design, attention to detail and test quality. Be a referral of best practices within the team.
\n
You will work in a fully agile organisation, using Kanban practices to deliver business value continuously. You will actively participate in team ceremonies and events, as well as the product definition and ideation processes, as part of a high‑performing cross‑functional team. You will receive mentorship and support to help you develop your career.

Experience with Applied AI Tools:

Demonstrated comfort using practical AI tools such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, or other AI‑powered coding assistants.

AI‑Enhanced Problem Solving

Ability to effectively leverage AI tools to debug code, streamline development processes, and enhance productivity.
