Johnson Controls is undergoing an extensive business transformation program, and many initiatives are technology enabled. The IT Business Enterprise Solution Architect is a business-facing IT position accountable for successfully delivering IT investments & support that enable our EMEA Business.
**How you will do it**
- Liaise & partner with Business & IT counterparts to understand the needs of technologies and future state processes
- Influence the delivery of business solutions across our entire IT ecosystem,
incorporating multiple locations with a specific focus on our Installation, Service, and Back-office businesses
- Provide mentorship, consulting, and technical support services to the Business, IT partners & support teams
- Ensure that the solution (software or processes) designs are in sync and meets the functional requirements specified by the Stakeholders and Business Process Owners
- Review the proposal of vendors and suppliers to ensure quality inputs and efficient System & Process design throughout all project phases
- Evaluate the likely effects of an initiative and the profitability of the businesses
- Identify and mitigate existing business risks or risks associated with solution architecture & projects
- Review and validate test strategy and plan, test cases, automation, regression, and test execution
**What we look for**
**Required**
- Deep understanding of Business models, processes & systems
- Experienced customer-focused IT Business Analyst or Solution Architect
- Proficient in a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment requiring good communication and teamwork skills,
as well as the ability to adapt to shifting priorities
- Willingness to travel. Up to 10 % of regional & global travel may be needed
**Preferred**
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related fields
- Experience in ERP systems (Oracle, iScala, Baan, JD Edwards)
- Overview of Installation & Field Service business models and End-2-End processes
- Attention to detail, ability to work alone and in a group
- Experience with system integrations and understanding of how to fix data discrepancies
- Analytical thinking and excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate analytics findings to partners
- Flexible and adaptable regarding learning and understanding new technologies
- Experience in sizeable multinational corporations
