We’re Hiring: Legal Officer (Based in Barcelona – Supporting the Cluster)

Your next role
Based in our Barcelona office (3 days on-site, 2 days remote), you’ll not only support our Spanish affiliate but also provide legal guidance to other countries within our cluster: Portugal, Mexico, Peru, and Chile.
As our Legal Officer, your mission will be to ensure compliance with data protection regulations, corporate policies, and local laws while aligning with the Group’s global legal and compliance framework. You’ll be a key advisor on contracts, risk assessment, internal training, and will act as a legal point of contact for multiple countries.
Key Responsibilities
Data Protection
* Implement and maintain the affiliate’s data protection system.
* Conduct assessments, map risks, and define clear action plans across departments.
* Train teams on privacy requirements and ensure ongoing compliance.
* Draft, update, and implement privacy-related policies and procedures.
Compliance & Risk
* Oversee the implementation and communication of the corporate compliance program.
* Ensure all policies and standard operating procedures are locally adapted and correctly applied.
* Identify and map risks in collaboration with department heads.
* Lead internal training on compliance and data protection.
* Support the review of promotional materials.
Contracts & Third-Party Relationships
* Review and manage contract workflows, including those related to healthcare professionals, sponsorships, donations, services, and technical agreements.
Whistleblowing Channel
* Manage the affiliate’s whistleblowing system, assess claims, and follow up on corrective actions.
* Participate in the internal investigation committee for harassment cases.
Cluster & HQ Coordination
* Act as liaison with the Legal & GDPR teams at HQ in France.
* Join quarterly alignment meetings and coordinate legal support across the cluster countries.
What You Bring
* Degree in Law with specialization or strong experience in Data Protection, Compliance, or Pharmaceutical Law.
* Minimum 5-7 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or regulated industries.
* Solid knowledge of EU and local data protection and compliance regulations.
* English & Spanish
* Ability to work autonomously while coordinating with international teams.
