Overview:
Support the execution of technical activities associated with the downstream process development laboratory following the guidance of the Downstream group
Responsibilities:
- Perform the routine activities defined daily/weekly/monthly in the Downstream laboratory.
- Carry out purification processes - chromatohraphy, filtrations, ultrafiltration,depth filtration etc.
- Column packing.
- Equipment maintenance.
- Preparation of media and buffers.
- Sampling analysis.
- Data collection, analysis, and inferences from experimnets, preparation of presentaions.
- Work according to GLP standards.
- Prepare, Maintain and follow Standard Operating Procedures.
- Continuous improvement – supporting process improvements during the Development process.
Qualifications:
- Education: University Degree or Higher Vocational Training in Biochemistry/Chemistry/Biotechnology.
- Languages: Fluent Spanish, proficiency in English. Knowledge of other languages will be valued.
- Experience (years/areas): <2 years of relevant experience in Downstream activities working with biological drugs and in biotechnological environments.
- Specific knowledge:
- Familiarity in the purification of recombinant proteins, especially monoclonal antibodies (PrA, IEX, HIC etc.).
- Competent in relevant laboratory operations
- Travel: Not required.
- Personal skills:
- Ability to read and carefully follow instructions and SOPs.
- Ability to communicate with other departments.
- Willingness to work extensively and, sometimes, at unusual hours to meet company needs.
