At ORTEC ENGINEERING SPAIN, we are strengthening our Technical Publications teams to support major aerospace and defence programmes delivered for leading aircraft manufacturers and defence companies.

Technical Illustrator

We are looking for a Technical Illustrator with proven experience in aerospace technical documentation to contribute to the creation and maintenance of high-quality technical illustrations developed under ASD S1000D specifications and other structured documentation standards. You will join an international engineering environment, working on complex platforms and supporting maintenance, operational and support documentation activities.

• Creation, modification and update of 2D and 3D technical illustrations for aircraft and defence systems documentation.
• Production of graphics in compliance with manufacturer standards, programme guidelines and S1000D requirements.
• Interpretation of engineering drawings, CAD models and source data to generate accurate and consistent visual content.
• Adaptation of illustrations for integration into IETP / IETM environments.
• Collaboration with technical authors, engineers, configuration management and customer representatives to ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Application of quality controls to ensure compliance with technical and contractual requirements.

• Degree in Engineering (Aerospace, Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical or Electronic), Technical Design or equivalent technical qualification.
• Proven experience in aerospace and/or defence technical illustration environments.
• Strong ability to interpret and analyse engineering drawings and CAD data.
• Solid understanding of ASD S1000D and structured technical documentation processes.
• Experience working in maintenance, operational or support documentation projects.
• High level of English (written and spoken).
• Strong organisational skills and ability to work in deadline-driven environments.

• The position will be based on site in Seville, within aerospace and defence projects.
• Candidates must provide an updated CV together with relevant qualifications and project references.
• Previous experience working with major OEMs or defence contractors will be highly valued.
