The Role
As a Solutions Engineer, you will join Flexera's talented, dynamic sales organisation. You will partner with the field sales team and work with customers to identify business issues Flexera can solve.
You will serve as the main point of contact for strategic clients, with the mission to:
* Drive product adoption
* Ensure value realisation
* Increase client loyalty
This is achieved through:
* Hands-on work with infrastructure stack and architecture
* Workload migration to our tools
* Enabling client teams to optimise resources
* Acting as a point of escalation for technical inquiries
You will lead technical strategy for successful proofs of value (POV) and implement best practices. Additionally, you will participate in projects aimed at enhancing the overall sales process.
Main Responsibilities
* Partner with sales representatives and revenue team members to drive product adoption and identify growth opportunities (upsell/cross-sell)
* Act as a subject matter expert for technical infrastructure questions and advise senior decision-makers
* Lead discovery sessions to uncover customer business values and objectives
* Deliver compelling demonstrations, technical presentations, and POV activities
* Contribute to RFI/RFP and security questionnaire responses
* Advocate for client interests (e.g., feature requests) to product teams
* Increase product adoption through hands-on engagement with the Flexera platform
* Travel up to 25% to engage directly with customers and support sales efforts
Experience
Ideally, you will have a background in pre-sales, customer success, or consulting, with proven experience in client-facing technical roles. Domain expertise should include:
* FinOps, DevOps, Cloud Cost, Cloud Optimisation or Cloud Management
* Data normalisation for IT Asset Management
* Certified FinOps Practitioner
* Cloud Solution Architect certification (Azure/Google preferred)
* Proficiency with RESTful APIs, API tools (e.g., Postman), or scripting languages (JavaScript, Python)
* Strong experience in Cloud Financial Management (FinOps)
* Experience with cloud service providers (AWS, Azure, GCP)
* Excellent communication and relationship skills
* Familiarity with container orchestration platforms (e.g., Kubernetes, Amazon ECS)
* Customer-centric mindset with strong dedication to success
