Senior Frontend Developer / Chapter Lead
We are looking for a Senior Frontend Developer / Chapter Lead to join our office in central Madrid. In this role you will lead the chapter, drive quality, and shape future development while collaborating with cross‐functional teams.
Responsibilities
Lead the chapter – set vision, align goals and inspire the team.
Coordinate the team, manage communication with supervisors and stakeholders.
Monitor quality of deliverables and ensure best practices.
Mentor junior developers and promote continuous learning.
Lead technical discussions and shape future development.
Technical Responsibilities
Implement state‐of‐the‐art frontend solutions based on specifications and UX/UI prototypes.
Build landing pages, microsites and interactive elements.
Create innovative templates for all devices, ensuring usability and accessibility.
Support backend developers by editing themes (Drupal, Magento).
Collaborate and share code using GIT; experience with GIT best practices.
Review code in Bitbucket, validate implementations and deploy using CI/CD tools.
Understand customer or product technical needs and propose solutions.
Communicate fluently in English (both speaking and writing).
Qualifications
High technical skills in frontend development; specialist expertise.
Strong solution‐oriented attitude and leadership capabilities.
Experience writing and editing JavaScript, including frameworks such as jQuery and Bootstrap.
Strong knowledge of CSS3, HTML5, and cross‐browser compatible code.
Experience with responsive, tablet and mobile optimised websites.
Experience building/developing frontend frameworks and design systems.
Fluent in English; German language skills are an advantage.
Efficient collaboration within structured development and design teams.
Awareness of SEO, WPO and Accessibility (AA/AAA) good practices.
Deep understanding of frontend methodologies (SMACSS, OOCSS) and component architecture.
Solid grasp of cross‐browser/platform issues and solutions.
Familiarity with SASS, Grid, Flexbox and performance optimisation.
Excellent quality standards and a willingness to optimise code.
