Test Trainee

The Test Trainee will play an essential role in the testing and validation of our batteries through to full production and delivery. You will support a talented and growing team of battery designers and engineers through the project stages of multiple high‑value battery designs, including analysis and verification of initial specifications.
What You Will Do
- Assist in test preparation and setup under supervision.
- Help run basic tests and measurements on components.
- Follow safety protocols at all times.
- Collect and organise test data.
- Learn how to document results and write summaries.
- Gain exposure to testing tools and methodologies.
- Attend team meetings and training sessions.
- Ask questions, contribute ideas, and develop ownership mindset.
- Help keep the lab organised and equipment ready.
- Report incidents or malfunctions.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a degree in engineering, chemistry, or material science.
- Interest in learning about testing in lab environments and understanding lithium‑ion battery cells and packs.
- Ability to process and summarise test data.
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain focus on critical objectives to accomplish the mission.
- Interest in learning about battery cycler equipment such as Arbin, etc., and their use in appropriate applications.
Desirable Skills And Additional Experience
- 1 year of experience in a similar role in Formula Student.
- Fluency in English and Spanish. Other languages is a plus.
