We are a small, family-run restaurant located in the beautiful south of Spain, serving a blend of tapas, salads, spaghetti and pizzas. Known for our warm atmosphere, loyal local and tourist clientele, fantastic location and a passion for fresh, unique ingredients, we’re looking for a hands-on General Manager to join our close-knit team and help us continue delivering outstanding dining experiences.
Role Overview :
As General Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the restaurant, ensuring high standards in customer service, staff management, and overall efficiency. You will be a key player in maintaining our welcoming family-run spirit while also bringing a level of professionalism and operational know-how.
Key Responsibilities :
* Supervise daily operations, including front and back of house
* Ensure top-quality customer service and guest satisfaction
* Manage and schedule staff, including recruitment and training
* Oversee inventory, ordering, and supplier relationships
* Monitor and maintain food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness standards
* Handle reservations, complaints, and special customer requests
* Coordinate with the kitchen to ensure smooth service flow
* Track financial performance (daily takings, payroll, stock costs)
* Support marketing initiatives, including social media presence and local promotions
* Ensure compliance with local health, safety, and employment regulations
* Work as waitor / kitchen helper as and when required.
Ideal Candidate :
* Fluent in both Spanish and English – verbal and written
* Prior experience in restaurant or hospitality management
* Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
* Able to manage a small team with empathy and authority
* Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of multitasking
