Our client, a global leader in the automotive industry, is seeking a procurement engineer to join their organization and contribute to a successful project based in the Vallés area.Key ResponsibilitiesSupplier selection:
Search and evaluate suitable suppliers to meet profitability, quality, and lead time targets.Supplier management & benchmarking:
Supervise supplier performance and conduct comparative analysis to identify improvement opportunities.Cost analysis and RFQ:
Request quotations and perform detailed cost analyses.Technological innovation:
Research new technologies and alternative manufacturing methods to maintain competitiveness.Cost reduction projects:
Identify and implement initiatives to optimize costs.Audits and quality development:
Participate in customer audits and supplier quality development, including APQP, PPAP, and process audits.Supplier management in serial phase:
Monitor performance, develop continuous improvement plans, and manage non-conformities through 8D reports and audits.Project leadership (PPL):
Coordinate purchasing activities in assigned projects, track APQP milestones, and ensure effective communication with the Project Management team and the Global Technical Procurement Manager. (Requires 3+ years of experience in the development phase.)Previous Experience and QualificationsDegree in Industrial Engineering or related fieldAdvanced proficiency in EnglishExperience in SQA and/or Purchase EngineeringKnowledge of Core Tools:
