About The Role
The KYC Analyst is responsible for ensuring a smooth, compliant, and efficient onboarding experience for new merchants and partners. This role supports the company’s regulatory obligations under KYC, AML, and CTF frameworks by verifying client information, assessing risk profiles, and maintaining accurate documentation throughout the onboarding lifecycle.
Job Responsibilities
* Lead and manage the end-to-end onboarding process for new clients and partners, ensuring accurate understanding of complex corporate structures and collection of all required KYC documentation in line with internal and regulatory standards.
* Perform risk-based due diligence (standard, simplified, or enhanced) according to internal policies and applicable regulatory requirements.
* Conduct screening checks against sanctions, PEP, and adverse media lists.
* Verify ownership structures and beneficial ownership (UBO) to ensure transparency of all involved entities.
* Demonstrate strong analytical ability to assess legal, financial, and operational documentation, including corporate records, licences, and contracts, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
* Collaborate with the commercial team to guide and support completion of KYC forms and documentation.
* Maintain accurate and organized customer records within internal systems and repositories.
* Monitor regulatory developments impacting onboarding requirements and propose process updates when needed.
* Participate in process automation and optimisation initiatives in coordination with Risk, Compliance, and Product teams.
* Contribute to training materials and awareness sessions to enhance internal understanding of KYC and onboarding processes.
Job Requirements
* Fluency in Spanish and English (both written and verbal).
* Strong understanding of KYC/AML principles, risk assessment methodologies, and ownership verification.
* Excellent attention to detail and ability to handle complex data sets.
* Clear, structured, and client-oriented communication style.
* Ability to work effectively in cross-functional, hybrid, and multicultural environments.
* Demonstrates ownership, initiative, and accountability in all onboarding tasks.
* Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, law, or a related field.
* 3+ years of experience in KYC, onboarding, or compliance roles within PSP, FinTech, or financial services sectors.
* Familiarity with KYC/AML tools and onboarding workflows.
* Knowledge of LatAm regulatory frameworks is a plus.
