Contract Manager/Claim Consultant - Construction Sector

Role Description
- Full‑time, on‑site position for a Contract Manager/Claim Consultant in the construction sector, based in East Africa.
- Manage contracts throughout project lifecycles, identifying and mitigating risks, providing advice to clients on contractual obligations, and supporting claim preparation and dispute resolution.
- Prepare, review, and negotiate variations, claims, and commercial agreements while adhering to legal and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with project teams and stakeholders to drive successful project outcomes.
Qualifications
- Degree (Bachelor's or Master's) in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
- 8 to 10 years of experience as a Contract Manager or Claim Consultant in the construction industry.
- Proficient in English at a professional level.
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts, contract law, and industry‑specific regulations.
- Expertise in claim management, including analysis, preparation, and negotiation.
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills to identify and assess complex contractual issues.
- Strong communication and negotiation abilities to interact with project teams and stakeholders.
- Preferred qualifications: MRICS (Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors), CIOB (Royal Institute of Chartered Builder), CIArb (Chartered Institute of Arbitrators).
