Position Overview
We’re looking for a Freelance Shopify Developer (Spain-based) to support the ongoing optimization and maintenance of our Shopify Plus B2B eCommerce platform.
In this role, you will maintain and enhance PDPs and collection pages, implement marketing-driven designs, customize themes using Liquid, HTML/CSS and JavaScript, and ensure a fully responsive experience across all devices.
You will work closely with the Marketing team to implement on-page SEO improvements, manage integrations when necessary, and deliver a scalable, high-performing, and conversion-focused online experience.
Responsibilities:
Maintenance & Content
· Update and maintain Product Detail Pages (PDPs) and Product Listing Pages / collections (PLPs): structure, modules/sections, visual content, and consistency.
· Update collection banners and content changes (visuals and copy) in coordination with Marketing
· Adjust and create new theme sections/modules based on the Marketing design provided (for Homepage, Producy Pages, About Us page, Contact Page, Campaign Page, Blog).
· Ensure a fully responsive experience across desktop, tablet, and mobile.
· Theme customization (Shopify Plus B2B): Liquid + HTML/CSS (and JavaScript when needed).
· App integrations/adjustments when necessary (avoiding full dependency on apps when not ideal).
· Implement on-page SEO improvements (titles, meta descriptions, H1/H2, internal linking, content structure, alt text, etc.). Strategy is defined by the Digital Marketing Manager;
this role focuses on implementation. Marketing to prioritize SEO tasks (backlog and quick wins).
Requirements (Must-have)
· Proven experience developing and customizing Shopify websites (ideally Shopify Plus B2B), with a portfolio of similar localization projects.
· Strong understanding of e-commerce best practices, especially for international markets.
· Proficiency in Shopify’s admin interface, Liquid templating, and HTML/CSS (and JavaScript for theme-level edits).
· UX/UI judgment in eCommerce (visual hierarchy, navigation, conversion).
· Experience building/adjusting: homepage, landing pages, collections, modules/sections, and PDP/PLP.
· Autonomy, clear communication, and a deadline-driven mindset.
Nice-to-have
· Experience with multi-language / multi-region stores (localization, currencies).
· Experience in managing Market cataloge and price list.
· Knowledge of CRO (data-driven conversion improvements based on best practices).
· A strong eye for design and aesthetics.
