El Altillo International School is seeking a qualified and experienced IT Teacher for Secondary & Baccalaureate students. Applicants must have experience in teaching and be excited by the challenge of contributing to curriculum development. The successful applicant will be an accomplished teacher with experience, enthusiasm and a passion for teaching which will inspire our students. They will also understand the importance of being part of a pedagogical team.

Key Responsibilities
* Plan, prepare and deliver lessons to up to students following our curriculum.
* Review lessons and resources regularly to ensure they provide maximum engagement and clear opportunities for pupils to develop key linguistic skills and processes.
* Prepare and set tests, including a baseline assessment test at the beginning of the course.
* Be responsible for the learning and achievement of all pupils in their class, ensuring equality of opportunity.
* Be accountable for achieving the highest possible standards in work and conduct.
* Treat pupils with dignity, building respectful relationships and observing appropriate professional boundaries.
* Work proactively and effectively in collaboration and partnership with learners, parents/carers, other staff and external agencies.
* Promote and safeguard the welfare of children and young people within the school.
* Take responsibility for any additional duties requested by the pedagogical department.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Deliver the curriculum as relevant to the age and ability group/subject/s that you teach.
* Prepare and develop teaching materials, programmes and planning.
* Be accountable for the attainment, progress and outcomes of the pupils you teach.
* Know pupils’ capabilities and prior knowledge, plan differentiated teaching to build on them.
* Understand and support all pupils, including those with special educational needs, gifted and talented, EAL, disabilities, by using distinctive teaching approaches.
* Promote high standards of literacy including correct use of spoken English.
* If teaching early reading, apply appropriate strategies such as systematic synthetic phonics.
* Use a range of observation, assessment, monitoring and recording strategies to set learning objectives, monitor progress and attainment.
* Use assessment to secure pupils’ progress, giving regular oral and written feedback and encouraging reflective response.
* Use data to monitor progress, set targets and plan subsequent lessons.
* Participate in arrangements for examinations and assessments.
Behaviour and Safety
* Establish a safe, purposeful and stimulating environment grounded in mutual respect; set discipline with praise, sanctions and rewards.
* Manage classes effectively, using approaches appropriate to pupils’ needs to inspire, motivate and challenge them.
* Maintain good relationships, exercise appropriate authority and act decisively when necessary.
* Be a positive role model demonstrating the behaviours expected of pupils.
* Set high expectations of behaviour, promoting self‑control and independence for all learners.
* Promote and safeguard the welfare of children and young people, raising concerns following school protocols.
Team Working and Collaboration
* Participate in relevant meetings, professional development, assemblies and school organisation.
* Work as a team member, sharing effective practices and opportunities with colleagues.
* Contribute to the selection and professional development of staff.
* Ensure colleagues working with you are involved in supporting learning and understand their roles.
* Cover for absent colleagues when required.

* Proficient in all aspects of the English language.
* Dynamic and have an interactive approach.
* Deliver lessons purely in the target language.
