Job Description

Our client is seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant to join their growing accounts department to deal with their expanding group company accounts. The applicant must be a team player, have experience of accounting procedures and have a positive “can do” attitude. Some knowledge of US accounting processes would be advantageous but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

· Day to day processing of purchase and sales ledgers, journals, and spreadsheets

· Monitoring bank accounts and all transactions including monthly reconciliations.

· Prepare general ledger accounts reconciliations.

· Assist in the preparation of financial statements, month end and yearly accounts and tax returns.

· Assist with all other administrative duties and various finance tasks as required.

Requirements

· Fluent in Spanish and English

· Background in accounting and accounting qualifications are preferable.

· Ability to communicate clearly via email with 3rd parties, clients, or internal teams

· Confident working through large amounts of data while spotting inconsistencies & errors

· Understanding of financial reports such as income statements and balance sheets

· An understanding of Bordereaux’s would be beneficial

· Proficient in using Excel spreadsheets

· Must be a good team worker

· Experience working with accounting software packages e.g. QuickBooks, SAP, Xero, Sage etc.

· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

· Ability to meet deadlines and prioritise.

Package

Contracted position - €1,800-€2,000 net pm.

Working Hours: Full time 9-5 (Monday to Friday)

Additional benefits include private healthcare (after 6 months) and daily lunch allowance.
