Location: Based in the Aimsun office in Barcelona, combined with remote working and the option of flexible hours. We are looking for an early-career finance professional who wants to build a strong foundation in finance while working in a tech-driven, mission-led company. In this role, you will support core finance operations, gain exposure to multiple areas of the function, and help improve workflows through digital tools and smarter ways of working. This role reports directly to the CFO and sits within the Finance team. Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, including invoice processing, vendor communication, and payment scheduling. Maintain up‐to‐date financial records in internal systems and support the preparation of monthly and ad‐hoc financial reports, helping keep information accurate, organised, and decision-ready. Reconcile bank accounts, deposits, expense claims, and company credit cards, ensuring alignment with internal controls. Review and process purchase requests, verify supporting documentation, and help keep approval workflows efficient, clear, and well organised. Prepare and execute supplier and employee payments in line with company policies. Assist with internal invoicing, payment processing, and approval coordination, while identifying opportunities to streamline recurring finance tasks. Assist in the preparation and coordination of the company's internal and external audits. Support the preparation, review, and submission of taxes filings and related documentation. EDUCATION Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related discipline. SKILLS Excellent time management, organisational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to learning. Service orientation, flexibility, positive attitude and team spirit. Ability to thrive under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and solve problems effectively. Strong interpersonal skills, accountability, and a willingness to take ownership and learn new tools quickly. Commitment to diversity and inclusion. Excellent written and verbal communication & presentation skills in English and Spanish (Catalan is a plus but not required). Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications, especially Excel. Knowledge of accounting software such as Quick Books, Xero or Sage. Exposure to credit control, bookkeeping & accounting, reporting & consolidation, budgeting and cost control, treasury, and trade/legal compliance. Basic knowledge of tax and compliance requirements. Curiosity about AI tools (e.g. Microsoft Copilot) and how they can simplify finance work and improve recurring workflows. Digital fluency and a process-improvement mindset; confidence using technology to work smarter, not just faster. EXPERIENCE 0–2 years of relevant experience; internships or academic project experience in finance are also welcome.
