The Universidad Nebrija is seeking a Research Assistant in Social Sciences to join the ARRAIGO project (AI for attracting and integrating migrant talent in rural Spain).
The selected candidate will support applied research activities focused on migration, rural development, and social integration. Tasks include managing and analysing databases, preparing interviews and surveys, supporting fieldwork, drafting reports and scientific documents, and contributing to workshops and dissemination activities.
The position is part of a multidisciplinary project combining artificial intelligence and social sciences to address demographic challenges in rural areas.

Requirements
Research Field Sociology Education Level Master Degree or equivalent
Skills/Qualifications
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Sociology, Demography, Political Science, Anthropology, Humanities or related fields.
* Knowledge of social research methodologies (qualitative and/or quantitative).
* Experience in data collection and management (databases, surveys, interviews).
* Ability to analyse and synthesise social information.
* Strong written communication skills for reports and research outputs.
* Proficiency in standard digital tools (Excel, data handling, document preparation).
* Ability to work in multidisciplinary environments.
* Fluency in Spanish is required; English is an asset.
Specific Requirements
* At least 1 year of experience in research support or similar roles will be valued.
* Interest in migration, rural development and social innovation.
* Capacity to work autonomously and proactively in applied research contexts.
* Availability to support fieldwork activities and participate in workshops/events.
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
