Your Key Responsibilities
Assist the Commercial Controller in managing all aspects of the FBA&P function within associated contracts. Ensure timely payments to carriers, accurate billing to customers, and oversee freight spend reconciliations and month-end trading processes. Support cost controls with the help of Assistant Finance Managers.
Key AccountabilitiesFinancial Analysis
* Evaluate customer freight contracts, providing insights into financials and high-volume data analysis.
* Manage freight purchasing and sales ledgers, including PO management in Oracle and control of open shipments in TMS.
* Ensure accurate and timely billing and resolve related queries.
* Proactively mitigate currency risks through hedging.
Control and Governance
* Develop tools to enhance financial visibility.
* Ensure all balance sheet entries are accurate and backed up.
Business Partnering Support
* Support daily operations of multi-site, multi-currency accounting, invoicing, and reporting.
* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the department.
* Assist in managing carrier payments, customer debts, and cash allocations.
* Act as deputy for the Commercial Controller when needed.
* Coach stakeholders on FBA&P matters.
Mandatory Requirements
* Degree-level education.
* Excellent communication skills in English and the local language.
* Experience with P&L, General Ledger, intercompany reporting, and Balance Sheet reconciliations.
* Knowledge of OTM System.
* Ability to work with high attention to detail and meet deadlines.
* Multi-country and multi-currency experience.
* Strong IT skills, especially MS Excel, with analytical and numerical skills.
* Organizational and planning skills.
* Flexibility and adaptability to changing demands.
