We’re looking for a Product UX/UI Designer to help TraceAir ship better product decisions faster.
This role is for a designer who loves the full cycle:
Task framing → research & hypotheses → quick prototypes → validation → production-ready UI → post-launch iteration.
You’ll work closely with
Product Managers, Engineers, Marketing, and Customer Service
to evolve existing flows and launch new features and products, using research and metrics to turn uncertainty into clarity.
What you’ll do
Frame problems like a detective:
Dig into
user behavior, support tickets, recordings, funnel drop-offs, and edge cases
to find what’s actually broken (or missing).
Mixpanel / Hotjar
investigation and analytics experience is a big advantage — if you have case studies, please send.
Generate and validate hypotheses:
Propose solution directions, prototype quickly, and run lightweight research/testing to reduce risk before dev investment.
Design end-to-end flows:
From low-fi exploration to production-ready UI with strong interaction details.
Work in a design system:
Use components, variables, and libraries; enhance the system when gaps emerge; maintain consistency without slowing down.
Partner closely with PM and Engineering:
Clarify scope, align on trade-offs, define acceptance criteria and Definition of Done, and keep delivery moving.
Communicate clearly:
Present reasoning, decisions, and alternatives — not just screens.
K eep documentation tidy:
We are a mature company, so maintaining organized records is essential. Status reports and ticket descriptions in Asana aren't just bureaucratic tasks; they're vital for keeping us sane and efficient. We’re seeking someone detail-oriented enough to keep up with it.
What we’re looking for
3–5 years
of product design experience (web apps preferred;
B2B SaaS
is a plus)
Strong skills in
UX thinking + UI craft
(flows, states, error handling, edge cases)
Practical experience with
research and validation : usability tests, interviews, surveys, and analysis of recordings
Comfort with product metrics: conversion, retention proxies, event thinking
Confident Figma skills (component architecture, variants & variables, library management, prototyping)
Experience working with
design systems
and contributing to their evolution
Autonomous and proactive: you don’t need to be chased; you chase clarity
Strong collaboration and stakeholder communication: you can negotiate, align, and move work forward without drama
Ability to analyze and unravel complex flows and mechanics, and investigate missing information (engineering/tech background is a plus)
English:
solid working proficiency (async collaboration, reviews, documentation)
You’ll be a great fit if you…
Enjoy moving fast without breaking the product
Love ambiguity and can turn “we should improve onboarding” into a concrete plan with measurable outcomes
Naturally notice inconsistencies, missing states, weird edge cases, and “silent” UX failure points
Can balance craft with pragmatism: when to go deep vs when to ship
What you’ll work on (examples)
Improving onboarding/activation and feature xpzdshu adoption using funnels + session insights
Launching new product capabilities with rapid validation and tight delivery cycles
Evolving key workflows and reducing friction across the product
Strengthening the design system to enable the team to ship faster and more consistently — negotiating and prioritizing resources, delivering designs, and overseeing execution
What we’ll ask in the hiring process
Portfolio with
2–3 case studies
showing your thinking (problem → research → options → validation → outcome)
Ability to explain tradeoffs and how you used research or data to make decisions
Examples of close collaboration with PM/engineering and shipped outcomes
