Job Opportunity: Senior Data Engineer Work model: RemoteContract type: PermanentWorking hours: Full-timeAbout the roleAt SOTEC Consulting – Astek Group, we are looking for 4 Senior Data Engineers (5+ years of experience) to join our team and play a key role in building scalable data frameworks and platforms, going beyond individual pipelines to full end-to-end solutions.You will be responsible for designing and implementing robust data architectures in AWS, ensuring high performance, scalability, and data quality across the entire lifecycle.ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, test, and deploy data pipelines and data platforms using AWS servicesBuild and maintain data lake, lakehouse, or data mesh architecturesDevelop scalable ETL processes and data modelsCollaborate with Data, Analytics, and DevOps teams to deliver business-driven solutionsEnsure data governance, security, and compliance standardsTroubleshoot and resolve data issues, supporting change management processesTake full ownership of projects from design to delivery️ Mandatory Requirements~5 years of experience as a Data Engineer~ Strong understanding of when and how to use different data tools and technologies (not tool-limited profiles)~ Expertise in:
Spark and ScalaPythonSQLAWS (S3, Glue, Athena, EMR, EC2, Lambda)Solid experience in ETL design and data modelingStrong analytical thinking and problem-solving skillsAbility to work end-to-end (E2E) and make scalable technical decisionsHigh attention to detailNice to HaveExperience with CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub Actions)Knowledge of Apache Iceberg or similar table formatsExperience with data quality frameworks (e.g., Great Expectations, Deequ)Familiarity with Bash or HCLWhat we offer
