About the role:
As the IT Service Specialist, you will be the first point of contact for all IT incidents and service requests that are submitted through the Service Desk. You will work in a timely manner to respond to those requests, working to resolve and escalate accordingly in line within the agreed timescales.

Please note: We have three facilities in the Greater Barcelona area and would require someone to be on-site between the three sites regularly.
Responsibilities:
* Execution of IT demand management processes (incidents, service requests, etc.)
* Triaging of new requests to the IT Service Desk
* Be first line support for all IT Service Desk requests through to resolution or escalation
* Attempt resolution of uncommon requests that are not fully documented but within confidence and authority level
* Escalating more complex requests/incidents to IT Service Specialist (II)
* Creation of draft knowledgebase articles from learnings
* Provide hands-on support of IT assets, where appropriate and required
About you:
* Previous experience working in an IT support/service desk function is essential (within a global organisation would be advantageous but not essential)
* Fluent in English and Spanish languages is essential for this role
* Can demonstrate knowledge and judgement in resolving/escalating a wide range of IT incidents
* Take ownership in providing an excellent service to employees, and enjoy problem solving practical issues
* Flexibility is required in travelling across three sites around the Barcelona region on a regular basis
* Be comfortable working to and achieving outcomes within agreed timescales
* Enjoy collaborating as part of a team, whilst also working on your own initiative
* Be a confident and articulate communicator who enjoys building trusted and supportive relationships with stakeholders
* A valid driving license is required due to the amount of travel in between sites
