Doyle Blackfriars is a UK & European strategy, research and education company supporting the growth of startups and innovation ecosystems. We work with early-stage and funded startups, universities, accelerators and incubators, and government and financial institutions to deliver practical, hands-on services including :

* Strategic consulting
* Institutional advisory
* High-ticket startup learning toolkits (DB Learn Kits)

Our clients range from MVP-stage founders to publicly funded university programs. We are headquartered in the UK and operationally based in Barcelona.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for an experienced business development & sales contractor based in Spain, with strong ties to the Barcelona startup and innovation ecosystem .

This is a part-time, commission-only sales role for an initial 4-month trial, with potential to move to a base + commission model if successful. The right person will already be well-connected across incubators, entrepreneurship programs, and early-stage startups in Spain, and be comfortable selling mid-to-high-value services and educational products.

Who This Role Is For

You are :

* Based in or near Barcelona
* Comfortable doing business in English
* Legally registered as an autónomo (self-employed contractor)

Well-connected to :

* Startups at MVP, Seed, and Pre-Series A stages
* Local universities, entrepreneurship programs, co-working spaces, accelerators and incubators
* Experienced in selling services or programs to early-stage companies or institutions
* Self-motivated, independent, and outcomes-driven

Please note : This role is not suited to someone with only SaaS or enterprise sales experience - our audience is startup-focussed and requires sector fluency.

What You’ll Be Selling

You will focus on selling :

* Consulting packages for startups (targeting MVP through Series A funding)
* Advisory services to universities, entrepreneurship programs, incubators, and accelerators
* High-ticket DB Learn kits, either directly to startups or in bulk to institutions

You will not be involved in selling our research reports or building research partnerships.

Trial Period + Compensation

* 4-month commission-only trial : June–September 2025

Trial period extended to include September due to limited activity in late July & August)

* Commission-only : 12–20% of each sale (depending on offering), with no cap

Top-performing contractors can expect to earn ~€500 / month based on realistic revenue targets. There is no cap on earnings. If performance is strong, there is potential to move into a base + commission structure after the trial period (contractor-based only).

Responsibilities

* Source and close sales with Spanish-based startups and innovation institutions
* Pitch relevant offerings to startup founders and institutional partners
* Actively follow up on warm leads from events, workshops, and online visibility
* Maintain a simple tracking system for outreach and deal flow
* Coordinate with our founder on messaging, updates, and ongoing support
