About the Role
This position will offer systems support for Surety applications to our international end-users, including both field personnel and home office staff. The role also involves collaborating with more experienced Department Applications Specialists to analyse business challenges and customer requests related to Surety applications, as well as recommending and implementing solutions to address these issues and seize opportunities. The successful candidate will develop the necessary skills to assist with resolving end-user problems related to these applications. Additionally, the role may include participating in projects, such as conducting User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for system upgrades, implementations, and enhancements.
About the Department & Team
Liberty Mutual Surety is the foremost global provider of surety services. In the United States, our team comprises eight members, including Department Applications Support, Senior Department Application Support, and a Senior Business Analyst. We are in the process of creating a similar international support framework that collaborates with agile teams to ensure that systems are operational and aligned with business requirements. Our team fosters an open and cooperative work culture, encouraging individuals to ask questions and seek assistance.
Key Responsibilities
* Conducts assigned business analysis activities, which may include defining business problems, performing, analysing workflows, processes, and data, drafting business requirements and specifications, planning and executing tests, writing procedures and operational manuals, and facilitating training and implementation.
* Maintains a comprehensive understanding of departmental operations and develops systems aimed at enhancing operational efficiency.
* Collaborates with Agility teams on the design, implementation, and maintenance of business applications.
* Evaluates system modifications, enhancements, and new programs to ensure they meet departmental needs and objectives.
* Engages directly with customers to identify and document business requirements for tailored information to our agility partners.
* Provides support, problem-solving, and consulting services to individuals addressing operational and systems support challenges, which may include responding to customer support inquiries.
* May assist a business project manager for a variety of projects with low to medium complexity.
Skills and Experience
* Proven experience in a systems support role.
* Ability to learn systems and support end users.
* A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Proficient analytical skills, including critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
* Experience in surety is preferred but not mandatory.
* Capacity to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and engage stakeholders while troubleshooting or fulfilling user requests.
* Must be fluent in English, Spanish is desirable.
