The Position
We are looking for a Delivery Manager eager to lead and enable delivery efforts in an Agile Release Train (ART) in charge of delivering UI components for Web and Mobile applications at Roche. This role is critical for driving delivery, tracking performance metrics, managing budget and risks, resolving blockers and dependencies and setting a strong communication process with key stakeholders and teams. The ideal candidate will possess strong software delivery management experience, effective communication skills, a solid background in vendor oversight and a passion for agile ways of working.
The opportunity:
* Lead the delivery execution of this ART, maintain a clear overall program view and enable achieving key commitments and milestones.
* Set the governance framework with UX departments and key stakeholders to develop and deliver the solution and work in ODSU team ambition within Roche.
* Ensure cross-functional alignment, track performance metrics and drive efficiency across engineering teams and business stakeholders, using data-driven insights to continuously improve delivery.
* Ensure the adoption of agile engineering best practices, support teams in areas such as architecture alignment, testing strategy, DevOps, secure coding, and regulatory compliance (e.g.: ensuring we accomplish with our Quality Management System processes)
* Act as the main liaison for the key stakeholders providing regular and transparent updates on timelines, milestones, progress, blockers, and potential risks.
* Coordinate and support the One Design System Unified (ODSU) Web community and launch the Mobile one.
* Collaborate with product engineering on procurement needs, including contract negotiation, onboarding, and management of new and existing partners, ensuring all vendors meet performance and compliance standards.
* Track and monitor project budgets closely, ensuring costs align with the approved budget, preparing regular financial reports, and alerting stakeholders to any variances or potential budget risks. Including also the negotiation of contract with the Vendor and the tracking of deliveries along the year.
* Be able to communicate and show the value of ODSU and drive strategic decisions in the direction of maximizing the return of the offering for Roche.
* Establish a proper toolchain to lead the delivery of the ART (Backlog, budget, tracking, Quality and regulatory, …)
* Step into a servant leadership role when needed, act as a Scrum Master and/or Release Train Engineer (RTE), to orchestrate agile delivery, remove impediments, and enable continuous value flow across the program.
* Be a servant leader who will model, encourage and support an open and collaborative atmosphere, where people are curious and proactive in delivering value to our Users.
Who you are:
* 8+ years in delivery management of a digital product with a focus on agile project management, ideally in the healthcare sector.
* Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
* Interpersonal, problem-solving skills, compelling storytelling, presentation skills, and influencing abilities, the ability to recognize and aid the resolution of team and cross-team conflicts and impediments.
* Tact, diplomacy, and cooperation skills as well as an attentive and empathic nature.
* Ability to clearly communicate complex insights to stakeholders and ART members.
Nice to have:
* SAFe certification (e.g., SAFe Agilist, SAFe Scrum Master, SAFe RTE) preferred.
* 2+ years full-time experience as a Release Train Engineer.
