Why we need this role
Colt are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Indirect Procurement Business Partner to join our Corporate Services Procurement team. This role is pivotal in driving value across indirect spend categories, including but not limited to; HR, Legal, Data Protection, ESG, Marketing, Professional Services, Facilities, Real Estate, Recruitment, Temporary Staff (Contractors).
The role will act as a strategic partner to internal stakeholders, ensuring procurement excellence and continuous improvement across the company’s supply portfolio, providing transparency of spending and spend categories according to business needs. You will generate and implement efficient sourcing and category management strategies and calculate procurement costs to identify methods to reduce expenditure.
As a Procurement Business Partner within Corporate, you will be responsible for handling corporate sourcing operations, assessing and improving our sourcing activities by analysing the company’s spending, supplier partnerships and exploring new opportunities.
What You Will Do
- Ensure the effective procurement of services in a timely and efficient manner.
- Develop and implement category strategies to control costs, time, promote competition and safeguard supply capacity, including supplier consolidation opportunities, aligned with Group objectives.
- Manage engagements and collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure category and saving plans, budget assumptions, terms and processes are reviewed and aligned with stakeholder expectations.
- Lead sourcing initiatives across indirect procurement corporate service categories, ensuring cost-effectiveness and compliance.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to understand business needs and deliver procurement solutions.
- Develop and execute indirect category strategies aligned with business goals.
- Ensure procurement processes are followed with high attention to detail and governance.
- Negotiate with external vendors to secure advantageous terms and engineer value-driven negotiation plans.
- Analyse and calculate procurement costs and identify methods to decrease expenditure.
- Research and anticipate shifts in negotiating power.
- Perform cost and scenario analysis, and benchmarking.
- Estimate risks and apply risk-minimising techniques.
- Discover and partner with trustworthy, inclusive and diverse vendors and suppliers.
- Support sustainable procurement in line with ISO20400 guidance.
- Establish and maintain regular, productive relationships with business stakeholders to achieve agreed business goals.
- Maximise the use of tools, processes, policy setting and enforcement in alignment with the category strategy to control spend.
- Manage tender processes from specification to final contract award.
- Post-award, manage and lead the contract negotiation process to conclusion.
- Ensure all documentation relevant to sourcing activities is complete and available in Ariba (RFP, scoring tools and results, Order Forms, SoWs).

- You will be working closely with the Finance Business partners, legal as well as internal stakeholders

What We're Looking For
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in Procurement Sourcing management (Indirect Procurement experience preferred)
- Strong internal engagement, interpersonal and influencing skills. Adaptability. Highly driven and self-directed, problem solver
- Has delivered large, indirect procurement / strategic sourcing RFPs globally
- Proven work experience as a sourcing officer
- Familiarity with sourcing and vendor and risk management and relevant software
- Experience in indirect category management
- Strong project management and leadership skills
- Ability to negotiate and sustain networking relationships
- Commercial and analytical acumen; comfortable with figures and in collecting, analysing and interpreting data. Detail-oriented decision making
- Sound judgement with the ability to make good decisions
- High level of understanding of procurement best practice and tools (e.g. Ariba, SAP, Fieldglass)
- Advanced Excel skills
Education
A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Management or a relevant field
