Responsibilities
* Act as the company’s main advisor on all issues related to local operational and distribution functions, staying up to date with the latest developments to maintain a competitive position.
* Create, develop, and deliver budget plans that align with the company-wide strategy.
* Develop and propose annual business plans for specific areas or departments, ensuring alignment with overall strategy.
* Recommend financial and headcount budgets; establish business targets such as revenues or other KPIs, and schedule key activities/projects to integrate with other organizational elements.
* Manage the development and/or delivery of a significant element of an organizational change management initiative for a substantial department or area.
* Identify and communicate the actions required to implement the function’s strategy and business plan within the business area or department, explaining their relation to the organization’s mission, vision, and values, and motivating people to commit and achieve local business goals.
* Manage a significant operational area, including end-to-end supply chain.
* Evaluate staff capabilities within the department to identify gaps and prioritize development activities.
* Implement the organization’s formal development frameworks within the area of responsibility.
* Coach and mentor others to support development of the organization’s talent pool.
* Act as a people manager closely connected to operations.
* Oversee the development and delivery of significant organizational change programs.
* Manage and report on performance within the department or area of responsibility; set appropriate performance objectives for direct reports and hold them accountable for achieving annual business objectives, taking corrective action when necessary.
* Identify and manage stakeholders up to management level, gathering their needs and concerns and coordinating stakeholder engagement plans to support communication of business information and decisions.
* Oversee the implementation of SOP development strategy for large-scale operations with significant complexity, broad scope, and impact.
* Develop tactical plans to optimize resources and assets, maintaining first-class customer service.
Qualifications
* Master’s degree or equivalent level of work experience.
* Extensive experience in operations and distribution management.
* 10–15 years of experience in planning, managing, and organizing resources on short to medium timescales within the overall policy framework.
* Experience of 6–10 years in a matrix organization.
* Strong analytical skills to evaluate data and performance/operations metrics. xpzdshu
