Proposal Engineer Job Description
The Proposal Engineer is responsible for translating prospect clients' specifications into a ROM (Rough Order of Magnitude) or FFP (Fixed Firm Price) proposal.
Key responsibilities include extracting key parameters from client proposals, collaborating with Process Engineers and Suppliers to define processes and obtain costing schemes, and conducting preliminary evaluations such as structural, thermal, and process analyses. The Proposal Engineer also supports sales activities and participates in marketing events worldwide.

Responsibilities
* Manage CRM, account management, and customer relations; update CRM database as needed.
* Produce quotes and proposals, manage internal supplier processes, and compile internal budgets.
* Obtain quotations from suppliers and maintain operational cost databases.
* Perform preliminary product and process design, coordinate with Engineering for manufacturing definitions and risk analysis.
* Support sales and engineering teams in proposal development, transfer client specifications into proposals, and consolidate information for project execution.

* Participate in market events, support marketing activities, and perform preliminary product designs and process analyses as needed.

* Authorized to prepare and submit complete proposals to clients.
Communication
* Present proposals to the Commercial Director, collaborate with Process Engineers, and compile information for project planning.
* Represent the company professionally to clients, write clear quotes, and maintain positive client relations.
Skills and Knowledge
* Minimum bachelor's degree in a technical field.
* At least 1 year of experience in industrial sales or related fields, preferably in the composite industry.
* Knowledge of composite production methods and engineering; proficiency in English and Spanish/Catalan; knowledge of French and German is a plus.
