MISSION OF THE ROLE
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Category Manager Logistic & Housing (Real Estate & Facilities Management) to join our team. This role will be responsible for the development and execution of category strategies that drive growth, savings, and continuous improvement.
The Category Manager will work closely with the wider team to maximize customer value, implement cost-reduction strategies, foster supplier relationships, and ensure the effective management of inventory and product pricing.
RESPONSIBILITIES
● Development of the commercial model to drive growth in savings.
● Development of category strategies which maximise customer value for money and a continuous improvement structure.
● Implement and promote transformation programmes with a strong communication plan to achieve a structured and resilient supply chain.
● Develop and implement cost-based reduction strategies capable of delivering annual target savings.
● Collaborate with the wider team to identify products with low demand and make recommendations.
● Conduct research and analyse trends and customer purchasing habits.
● Review sales data and competitor products.
● Develop strategies and set goals for the products, including marketing plans, managing budgets and promotional events and repositioning the products.
● Build effective supplier relationships and maintain communication.
● Manage the inventory to ensure there are enough products to meet customer demands.
● Consider lead times and monitor inventory levels.
● Create pricing plans for products and liaise with suppliers to reduce spend and to remain competitive.
● Present reports to the management team highlighting any trends or issues.
REQUIREMENTS
● 3 to 5 years of experience as a Category Manager, preferably within Real Estate, Facilities Management, or related industries.
● Strategic Asset Management: Lead the corporate real estate portfolio, overseeing acquisitions, leasing, and asset development with a focus on value maximization and space efficiency.
● Strategic Procurement & Global Sourcing: Design and execute purchasing processes based on international standards (CPSM) and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) analysis to generate annual savings.
align operational goals with sustainability and social economy policies, ensuring a resilient and ethical supply chain.
● Financial Control & Reporting: Supervise CAPEX and OPEX budgets, performing comprehensive project tracking and risk assessment for data-driven decision-making.
● Stakeholder Leadership: Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and manage relationships with international partners, public institutions, and strategic private suppliers

● Technical Skills: Proficiency in management tools such as SAP, Navision, advanced Excel, and data analysis software
● Certifications: Professional certification in CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management) and knowledge of LEED standards are highly valued.
