Job Description
SO/ Sotogrande, a luxury hotel brand, is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Finance Supervisor to join our team in Sotogrande, Spain. As the Finance Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the financial operations of our property, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with local regulations.
* Manage daily financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance
* Prepare and analyze financial reports, budgets, and forecasts for the property
* Supervise and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement
* Collaborate with department heads to develop and monitor budgets, identifying areas for cost savings and revenue enhancement
* Ensure compliance with Spanish tax laws, regulations, and reporting requirements
* Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial data integrity
* Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
* Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits and special reviews
* Analyze financial data to provide insights and recommendations to senior management for strategic decision-making
* Oversee cash management and banking relationships
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
* 2-4 years of experience in finance or accounting, preferably in the hospitality industry
* Previous supervisory experience in a finance role
* Professional accounting certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) preferred
* Strong proficiency in accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
* Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to manage and develop team members
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
* Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in financial reporting and analysis
* Knowledge of Spanish tax laws and regulations
* Understanding of hospitality industry financial practices and standards
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
* Fluency in English; knowledge of Spanish is a plus
