You will be responsible for the 24/7 operation of MSS and customer databases.
You will play a key role in the deployment process, transitioning new versions of our products through non-production environments into live environments.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
* Installation, configuration, and upgrading of Oracle server software and related products.
* Creating and maintaining databases for development, testing, and production.
* Performing database tuning and performance monitoring.
* Performing application tuning and monitoring.
* Implementing backup and recovery policies for Oracle databases.
* Managing migrations, database changes, reference data updates, and menu modifications through the development cycle.
* Managing patches and version control.
* Enforcing security for all Oracle databases.
* Reorganizing databases as needed to optimize performance and uptime.
* Troubleshooting database and application issues.
* Providing technical support to development teams.
* Assessing impacts of changes to database objects.
* Maintaining documentation and standards.
* Conducting capacity planning for databases.
* Collaborating as part of a team and providing 24x7 support when required.
* Analyzing performance issues in database-intensive transactions.
REQUIREMENTS :
* Deep understanding of Oracle databases, utilities, and tools like Oracle Golden Gate, Enterprise Manager, and Connection Manager.
* Knowledge of physical database design.
* Proven experience supporting Oracle Database versions 9i to 23c.
* Experience with Oracle features such as RMAN, Data Guard, Clusterware, OEM, including installation, upgrading, and patching.
* Strong tuning and troubleshooting skills in database and PL/SQL.
* Excellent backup and recovery knowledge.
* Experience with Shell scripting on Linux.
* Experience working with developers to monitor database-impacting code.
* Good communication skills for management, development teams, vendors, and sysadmins.
