We are expanding our Life Science Business Unit and are seeking a highly capable and motivated Business Developer to support our global growth strategy.
We are looking for a scientifically trained professional with strong analytical skills, high autonomy, and at least three years of experience in research or business development in the life science industry. The ideal candidate learns fast, thinks critically, communicates with maturity, and thrives in a dynamic startup environment where responsibilities are diverse and impact is immediate.
You will play a central role in expanding HAWK’s international footprint by identifying, engaging, and developing relationships with researchers, clinicians, and biotech/pharma partners worldwide. This includes managing the full Business Development cycle: from initial outreach and preparation of tailored proposals to long-term strategic collaborations.
After receiving the appropriate training, you will be expected to operate independently, represent the company at national and international events, and communicate confidently with stakeholders at all levels. Identify, qualify, and research prospective clients, priority market segments, and strategic partners to build a robust business development pipeline.
Lead end-to-end stakeholder engagements with academic, clinical, and industry partners, owning the commercial process from opportunity to signature: negotiate terms, coordinate internal approvals, and close sales and partnership contracts with customers, collaborators, and distributors.
Partner with internal teams (R&D, Operations, and Technical) to develop proposals, pitch decks, and supporting documentation required for collaborations and commercial partnerships.
University degree in Life Sciences: Biology, Biotechnology, Biomedical Sciences, Pharmacy, etc.
Three years of experience in a research or business development position in the life science industry.
Native or proficiency in English; Spanish is a plus.
Strong understanding of biotechnology concepts and technologies, ability to read critically scientific documents.
PhD in Health Sciences, Biotechnology, or a related field will be highly valued.
Permanent contract, on-site in Bilbao.
