Overview

A well-established international company in the coatings industry is currently looking for an experienced Sales and Business Development Manager to lead and grow its aviation business in Spain and Portugal. If you're a motivated and technically skilled sales professional with strong knowledge of aviation coatings and surface treatment processes, this role offers a dynamic environment and a significant opportunity to make an impact.


Key Responsibilities

* Drive business development by identifying and acquiring new clients across the aviation sector.
* Provide commercial and technical support to existing customers, including regular on-site visits.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with OEMs, MROs, airlines, and aviation paint shops.
* Offer expert technical advice on coatings, surface treatments, and application methods.
* Track market developments, customer needs, and competitor activities to inform sales strategy.
* Lead commercial efforts during product demonstrations and support customer projects.
* Collaborate closely with internal departments (R&D, production, quality) to ensure optimal product fit and customer satisfaction.
* Manage pricing and contract negotiations.
* Handle customer feedback and complaints in coordination with relevant teams.
* Maintain accurate records of all sales activities and project pipelines via CRM tools.
* Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and activity documentation.
* Represent the company at industry events, trade fairs, and customer sites – travel up to 70–80% of the time.


Your Profile

* Degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Business, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
* Proven experience in technical B2B sales, ideally within the paint or chemical industry.
* Strong understanding of aviation industry requirements, including coatings and surface treatment processes.
* High technical aptitude and ability to communicate complex solutions clearly.
* Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive, solution-oriented approach.
* Proficiency in MS Office and CRM systems.
* Track record of successful customer acquisition and relationship management in the aviation or aerospace sector.
* Native Spanish speaker; fluent in English. German or any additional languages are an advantage.
* Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills.
* Willingness to travel frequently and work flexibly.
