Job Description
The role of the Manufacturing Supervisor requires knowledge and experience in its field while still building expertise. The candidate is expected to work autonomously with little or no direct supervision. The primary responsibility is to lead and facilitate safe operations in line with all safety, regulatory, and operational requirements.
* Ensure the long-term effectiveness of the team by delivering high levels of customer service, ensuring product and service quality, complying with all regulatory requirements, achieving desired financial performance including cost reductions, and fostering a high-performance culture.
Responsibilities
1. Safety:
Create an environment where safety is the top priority in every activity. Drive safety improvements and conduct safety gembas routinely. Promote a culture of zero safety incidents in compliance with all EHS requirements.
2. People:
Effectively deploy team members daily and ensure tasks are delegated appropriately to meet production schedules. Ensure team members are trained to required standards, engage with the team through regular 1:
1s, conduct performance reviews, and implement survey action plans. Approve time and attendance weekly to ensure correct payroll processing and communicate effectively with the team.
3. Operational:
Assist in developing weekly goals and production schedules. Coordinate shift activities to meet the production schedule and ensure smooth shift handovers for safety and efficiency.
4. Compliance:
Maintain compliance with regulatory agencies. Conduct material checks, line clearance, and spot checks routinely. Manage compliance issues during shifts that could impact lot completion.
5. Performance:
Manage change-over time and cycle time. Identify and support process improvement projects. Manage resources to maximize shift throughput. Oversee the shift training program and support metric targets.
6. Development:
Pursue self-development proactively and ensure team members have development plans. Facilitate growth opportunities.
7. Operation Excellence (OpEx):
Participate in process improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
1. Bachelor's degree required;
sciences or engineeringpreferred.
2. At least 2 years of supervisory or team leadership experience, preferably in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
3. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, SAP, and familiarity with industrial automation systems.
4. Knowledge of safety, quality systems, and cGMPs required.
5. Experience in an aseptic production environment preferred.
6. Availability to work on a 3rd shift.
