Currently, Sanofi has the most robust pipeline and forthcoming product launches in the company’s history. The GTMC organization is charged with delivering best-in-class capabilities to bring speed and increased value to commercial operations. It will refine priorities across products, markets, and the pipeline through dynamic resources allocation and efficiencies. Silos between business units and duplicative and overlapping resources will be replaced with standardized processes and tools. Operating with a One Sanofi mindset and entrepreneurial spirit, GTMC will accelerate and improve key capabilities to do more with less and facilitate the best-informed strategic decision making across the organization.
The GTMC Organization Aims To
* Centralize Go-to-Market operational tasks across GBUs
* Standardize best in class capabilities, strengthen global support, and implement a better vertical reporting structure within GTMC from local to global
* Define ways of working, bringing clarity on the interactions across GBUs, Digital, and Commercial executional support teams from Sanofi hubs to optimize process excellence and efficiency
The Lead Market Research, Global Vaccines is responsible for providing market and customer insights through the execution of market research that will help drive key strategic and tactical decisions across Sanofi with a focus on the Global Vaccines. As a member of the Insights and Analytics (I&A) team, this individual will be an integral strategic partner to Sanofi Commercial leadership, leading the development & application of cutting-edge market research methodologies to achieve the full potential of the Sanofi’s expanding portfolio.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
* Create and execute a Market Research strategy that defines appropriate methodologies, consistent with business goals and efficiency/cost parameters.
* Innovate where marketing teams can leverage insights for decision making.
* Inform both high level strategic tradeoffs and operational execution.
* Deliver strategic insights, tailored to each specific audience, which empower Vaccine Asset Commercial teams.
* Provide strategic guidance and ad-hoc support to the Sanofi Commercial teams, and the I&A organization.
* Play an active role in the brand planning process by contributing to the commercial/brand strategy, via grounding it in insights from market research.
* Keep up to date with innovative market research methodologies and vendors.
* Partner with other support functions (e.G., forecasting, analytics, competitive intelligence) as necessary to provide integrated insights.
* Foster strong agency partnerships to ensure insights are based on reliable, high-quality information and research has a seamless process flow.
* Specialize across different therapy areas, collaborating with Leads in other brands to avoid duplication.
* Participate in commercial meetings and proactively identify business questions that market research can address.
* Present market research insights at Senior Leadership level.
* Oversee market research projects to ensure high quality and validity of research.
* Have the confidence and experience to select the best vendor based on the business objectives.
* Ensure all projects follow relevant policies, including procurement and SOPs.
* Coordinate vendors at each stage of the market research process and provide business/brand knowledge to aid in fieldwork material and report development.
* Sign off on final fieldwork materials and reports, ensuring input from all relevant stakeholders.
* Develop engaging insights through innovative deliverables (e.G., avatar presentations) with clear calls to action for stakeholders.
* Lead and develop other market research team members as required.
Education Requirements
* Bachelor’s degree required;
advanced degree (MBA, MS, MD, PhD) preferred.
Skills And Competencies
* Minimum of 7+ years of experience in pharmaceutical market research;
relevant consulting experience may be considered.
* Strong understanding of all types of market research methodologies, including quantitative and qualitative research, data analysis, and statistics.
* Strong strategic thinking ability, with deep understanding of the life sciences industry.
* Ability to drive deadlines, balance priorities, and ensure high quality.
* Experience leading and developing high-performing teams.
* Experience across global, regional, and local roles preferred.
* Knowledge of pharmaceutical data sources (e.G., prescription and sales data, patient claims data, promotional audits) preferred.
* Product launch experience preferred.
* Experience working with related functions such as new product planning, marketing, and access.
