Position: Business Development ManagerReport to: Global Business Development HeadLocation: Madrid (1), Shanghai (1)Job Description:We are seeking two highly organized, proactive, and strategic Business Development Manager to support the executives of the Company. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in managing business deals, business development initiatives, and strategic channel collaboration as well as financing efforts. This position will offer exposure to high-level strategic decision-making, fostering relationships with key stakeholders, and contributing to the growth of the company in the biotech sector.Key Responsibilities:*Business Deal Management:Support the executives in identifying, evaluating, and executing strategic business deals, partnerships, and investments.Assist in the negotiation, drafting, and management of contracts, term sheets, and agreements with potential partners, clients, and stakeholders.Maintain a detailed pipeline of ongoing and potential deals and provide timely updates to senior management team.*Business Development:Support in business cases analysis to identify growth opportunities.Assist the executives in identifying new business opportunities, including licensing agreements, joint ventures, acquisitions, and collaborations with pharmaceutical companies and other stakeholders.Develop and maintain relationships with potential and existing partners, including biotech companies, academic institutions, regulatory bodies, and investors.Support efforts to acquire and manage channel equity, including negotiating investments and securing strategic partnerships.Prepare presentations, financial models, and business cases to support the acquisition and investment decision-making process.*Project and Portfolio Management:Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation of business development initiatives and investments.Assist in tracking the progress of ongoing projects and ensure timely execution of business deals and development initiatives.Work closely with legal, finance, and research teams to manage and monitor due diligence processes and project milestones.*Strategic Support:Provide the executives with research and analysis on key industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory developments in the allergy drug market.Coordinate and manage key internal and external meetings, presentations, and communications related to business development efforts.Handle confidential information and sensitive negotiations with discretion and professionalism.Qualifications:*Education:PhD in Life Sciences / Biotechnology or a related field preferred.An MBA degree is a plus.*Experience :3+ years of experience in business development, investment management, or strategic consulting in the biotech or pharmaceutical industry, preferably with a focus on allergy treatments or similar therapeutic areas.Familiarity with deal structures, contract negotiations, and business development processes in the biotech and pharmaceutical sectors.Skills and Abilities:Strong analytical, research, and strategic thinking skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skillsProficiency in project managementAbility to handle multiple tasks and prioritize in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.Self-starter with a professionalism, attention to detailAbility to work independently and collaborativelyPreferred Attributes:Experience in the allergy drug industry or related therapeutic fields.Knowledge of venture capital and private equity in the biotech sector.Strong network within the biotech, pharma, and healthcare investment communities.
