Gartner Analysts are industry thought leaders who create essential research, market predictions, and best practices for leading organizations. A Director serves as a leader within Gartner's Research and Advisory sector, establishing credibility in their market at local, regional, and global levels.
Using exceptional research and analytical skills, a director produces pragmatic and provocative research that Gartner clients consume to propel their business objectives. They are trusted advisors, engaging clients through meetings, conferences, and sales support to address complex challenges and provide recommendations.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in advanced technical roles such as Application Architect, Digital Workplace Architect, Director of Collaboration Platforms, or similar, with enterprise application or content and collaboration platform expertise.
Qualified candidates will demonstrate significant subject matter expertise in three or more of the following areas:
* Enterprise applications and content collaboration tools, understanding the market landscape, competitors, and opportunities.
* Deployment and governance of Microsoft 365 Copilot and/or Google Gemini, including security, privacy, and training considerations.
* Implementation and governance of low-code and citizen developer tools like Microsoft Power Platform, Mendix, and Outsystems.
* Experience with collaboration platforms (e.g., Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Slack), including governance and operationalization.
* Cloud content collaboration provisioning and governance tools, with experience using vendors like Avepoint, Syskit, Rencore, Powell, etc.
* Experience with Microsoft 365 Government (GCC/GCC High) and multi-tenant environments.
* Knowledge of meeting tools and room technology (e.g., Microsoft Teams, Cisco Webex, Zoom).
* Experience with Microsoft extended tools like Microsoft Copilot, Syntex, SharePoint Premium, Microsoft Viva, or Microsoft Purview.
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent; graduate degree preferred.
* 12+ years of relevant experience.
* Strong executive presence and communication skills.
* Ability to analyze data, synthesize insights, and present complex concepts clearly.
* Experience speaking at industry events and representing research positions.
* Deep understanding of the global market landscape and competitive dynamics.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multicultural global team.

* Support client engagement and research dissemination.
