We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Internal Auditor to join our global team, reporting directly to the internal audit management. This pivotal role is central to ensuring the strength of our internal controls and the efficiency of our operations through a dynamic internal audit function.
The position involves leading and executing comprehensive audits, overseeing the work of audit team members, and providing expert advisory services to management. You will be responsible for properly scoping and assessing risks for each project, and actively contributing to the training and development of our audit talent. The ideal candidate will operate with a high degree of initiative and independent judgment, upholding the highest ethical and professional standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design and execute audit procedures, including identifying key issues, developing assessment criteria, analyzing evidence, and rigorously documenting processes and procedures.
* Review and validate the quality of work and working papers prepared by audit team members.
* Conduct interviews, review documentation, develop surveys, and prepare summary memos and detailed working papers.
* Identify, evaluate, and document audit findings and formulate recommendations based on independent judgment.
* Actively participate in opening and closing project meetings.
* Consistently monitor and report the status of audit activities to management.
* Communicate, both verbally and in writing, the results of audit and consulting projects to management.
* Foster and maintain constructive relationships with auditees and team members.
* Contribute to the identification and evaluation of organizational risk areas, providing key input for the development of the annual audit plan.
* Commit to continuous professional development, participating in internal and external training, and sharing knowledge with the team.
* Represent the Internal Audit function on cross-functional project teams and at management meetings.
* Provide training, guidance, and mentorship to junior auditors in the execution of audits and other related tasks.
* Perform other assigned duties as directed by Internal Audit management.
Education & Experience:
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field from an accredited college or university.
* 3+ years of full-time experience in internal audit, accounting, including internal controls-based audits (e.g., SOX).
* Experience in complex business environments or specific industries (e.g., manufacturing, services, trade, etc.) is a plus.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
* Strong knowledge and skill in applying internal auditing and accounting principles and practices, as well as management principles and best business practices.
* Demonstrated skills in supervising and directing teams.
* Considerable ability in planning and project management, maintaining composure under pressure while meeting multiple deadlines.
* Aptitude for negotiating issues and resolving conflicts effectively.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including active listening and the ability to present findings and recommendations clearly and persuasively.
* Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
* Ability to establish and maintain harmonious working relationships with colleagues, staff, and external contacts, and to work effectively in a professional team environment.
* Ability to work in an evolving global environment, with domestic and international travel requirements. xohynlm
