Your role
We are looking for a Senior Data Analyst to support one of our clients by bridging the gap between complex mechanical engineering and high-level business strategy. This role goes beyond database management — it acts as the link between engine and transmission data and the strategic decisions that drive our client’s market positioning in the powertrain industry.
Responsibilities
- Analyze large datasets and collect only the necessary key information
- Summarize key information in Excel format and translate this into clear executive-level PowerPoint presentations
- Act as the primary point of contact for client requests and final presentations
- Conduct in-depth market and competitor research and analysis to define the positioning of our client’s products against other market leaders
- Perform competitor analyses and compare positioning against our client’s products
- Maintain daily newsfeed updates on industry trends
- Available to travel every 6-8 weeks to the HQ in Madrid (not mandatory)
Qualifications
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or other relevant technical background
- Direct experience or good technical knowledge of engines and/or transmissions
- Mandatory experience in market research and data analysis or product strategy
- Good analytical skills and capability to translate data into strategic advice
- Advanced presentation skills (PPT and oral)
- Advanced Excel skills
- High proficiency in English; French, Italian, Spanish, or Chinese as a plus
- Senior profile with at least 5 years of work experience
- Ability to work in a challenging and fast-paced environment
