We are currently hiring an Anatomic Pathologist (m/f/d) on a part-time basis. In this role, you will diagnose diseases in companion, large, and laboratory animals by examining tissues, interpreting biopsies and cytological smears, and generating accurate reports in a timely manner, providing clinicopathologic correlations useful to clinicians.
Main responsibilities:
* Produce pathology reports (histopathologic and cytologic) according to current best practices, including microscopic descriptions, findings, comments, and references when appropriate.
* Finalize or preliminarily release reports in prescribed formats (narrative or synoptic, case summaries) complying with deadlines.
* Achieve reading 50% of case load within 3 months of starting.
* Participate in conferences, seminars, and rounds via internet-based video conferencing.
* Assist lab personnel with specimen processing as needed.
* Participate in digital pathology consultations with other pathologists.
* Engage in continuing education to stay current with diagnostic veterinary pathology standards.
* Participate in internal Quality Control procedures.
* Contribute to training veterinary students, interns, and residents as time permits.
* Perform other duties related to Anatomic Pathology as assigned.
Your profile:
* Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent.
* Board certification or eligibility for certification by ACVP or ECVP.
* Licensed to practice veterinary medicine in the respective country.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Strong teamwork skills and ability to work effectively with colleagues, clients, and management.
* Analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Passion for animals and helping people.
* Organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
* Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently, including remotely.
* Experience with dictation software like Dragon Medical Practice Edition is a plus.
* Fluency in Spanish; proficiency in English and/or Portuguese is a plus.
