What we are looking for:
* A candidate with a degree in Biomedical Sciences and a Master’s in Analytical Chemistry, complemented by over five years of industry experience in method development for protein characterization using physico-chemical techniques.
* A strong background in chromatographic methods for protein analysis is essential, including experience with reverse-phase, size-exclusion, affinity, normal-phase, ion-exchange chromatography, and capillary electrophoresis techniques (such as CE-SDS, CZE, and cIEF).
* Experience with mass spectrometry for intact mass analysis and peptide mapping would be a plus.
* The ideal candidate is capable of working independently within a cross-functional team environment, with strong critical thinking skills, initiative, and a proactive mindset.
* Excellent communication skills in both Spanish and English, along with a collaborative attitude, are essential.
Main responsibilities:
* Lead the development of analytical methods in the physico-chemical area (focused mainly on HPLC and CE), ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and quality standards.
* Prepare technical documentation, including development and stability study reports.
* Draft and execute qualification protocols and generate corresponding reports.
* Contribute to the company's gene therapy projects, particularly in mRNA and plasmid DNA (pDNA) areas.
* Take responsibility for guiding and supervising scientific team members, providing training and theoretical background as needed.
* Conduct analyses proactively and participate actively in laboratory management and organization.
* Adapt to a flexible schedule based on project demands.
