Role Purpose (Summary of position)
As GCS RIS Implementation Manager you are accountable for the successful implementation of Roche’s digital products at the customer. In early product life cycle phases you will be responsible for implementing select RIS products in the ‘Nail‑It’ phase of the product lifecycle. You will then be accountable for the successful onboarding and success of the affiliate implementations.
Key responsibilities
- Develop project documentation in accordance with the scope and deliverables of the project, as well as the established and current best practices.
- Alert the established escalation person(s) if problems are not resolved in a reasonable amount of time.
- Escalate to the manager and appropriate functional heads when major issues arise that pose risk to the projects’ critical path.
- Follow or develop testing scenarios to test new or modified implementations of navify Product(s), verify the test results, and drive customer acceptance of the new or modified product implementation.
- Stay well‑informed of changes to the roadmap and features and known features of the products that are within their sphere of influence.
- Learn and share the knowledge obtained for better usage of their company‑provided tools and software; suggest new technologies and software that may improve the productivity and efficacy of the team.
- Maintain and understand training compliance to ensure that work and interactions thereto dependent are in compliance with Roche’s Code of Business Conduct.
- Maintain compliance with Roche’s T&E; guidelines, including cost guidelines, reporting timeliness, transparency, and correct usage of Roche’s credit card and travel tools.
- Build or help shape tools for the teams to be more productive, with management buy‑in.
- Create solutions to complex issues without requiring management guidance.
- Find solutions to issues that require resources from outside teams, document them, and integrate them into standard processes for the rest of the team.
- Mentor and onboard other members of the team.
- Develop templates for new documentation, or improve current templates and documentation to include in the existing toolset (Meeting Minutes, Project Schedule, Runbook, etc.).
Your profile
- Good communication skills and proficiency in English, Spanish and French.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field of study (IT, lab technician, etc.) and at least 5+ years of relevant work experience in IT, lab organization (medical lab technician, lab manager), hospital IT, networks, interfaces and/or database, or equivalent mix of education and work experience.
- Previous experience working in a clinical environment is highly desirable.
- Explicit problem‑solving attitude and experience working in a customer‑oriented interdisciplinary environment.
- Willingness to travel (up to 50%) nationally, and also worldwide.
- Independent, proactive and versatile working approach, while also acting as a team player in a general team.
Locations
You will be based in Sant Cugat, Spain. As this position is a global role, international business travel will be required depending upon the business location of the successful candidate and ongoing business project activities.
