From Hays Technology, we are looking for a NIS2 Compliance & Regulatory Alignment Specialist to join one of our key clients, a leading organization operating at European level.This role supports compliance with the EU NIS2 Directive and its national transpositions, ensuring regulatory alignment across EU Member States.Key ResponsibilitiesMonitor and analyze NIS2 national transpositions across EU Member States, identifying country-specific requirements and regulatory impacts.Conduct gap assessments between NIS2 obligations and existing security, operational, and compliance controls.Support the definition and harmonization of common controls to ensure consistent NIS2 compliance across jurisdictions.Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Security, Legal, Risk, Technology, and Regulatory Affairs.Build and maintain a centralized NIS2 documentation and evidence repository.Track compliance actions, support readiness assessments, and report progress to senior stakeholders.Prepare clear updates, dashboards, and communications for leadership and key stakeholders.Required Skills & ExperienceStrong knowledge of the NIS2 Directive, EU regulatory landscape, and cybersecurity governance.Experience in compliance, regulatory analysis, risk management, or cybersecurity.Ability to translate regulatory requirements into actionable business controls.Strong analytical, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.Nice to HaveExperience in telecoms, critical infrastructure, cloud, or digital services.Familiarity with frameworks such as ISO 27001, DORA, GDPR, or SOC 2.Exposure to large-scale, multi-country compliance programs.What we offerFreelance contract.6‑month project, with the possibility of extension.Remote-first role, with 2 days per month onsite at any of the client’s offices in Spain.
