About the Role
We seek a talented and committed Upper School English Teacher for ELIS Villamartín. The role is permanent, full‑time, starting September 2026.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver engaging, high‑quality English lessons to students aged 11–18, preparing them for IGCSE and A‑Level examinations.
* Use assessment data to monitor student progress, provide detailed feedback, set targets for improvement, and offer timely support.
* Embed the ELIS Values – Respect, Care, Perseverance, Honesty, and Kindness – into all aspects of teaching and the wider school life.
* Promote student wellbeing, resilience, and support the Cognita Be Well Charter.
* Participate actively in the wider life of the school through co‑curricular activities, events, and enrichment opportunities.
Qualifications and Experience
* A degree and a recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE or equivalent).
* Proven experience of teaching English at secondary school level with experience preparing students for external examinations.
* A commitment to holistic education and nurturing both academic progress and personal development.
* Passion, creativity, and a growth mindset, with the ability to inspire students and colleagues.
* Excellent communication skills, collaboration, flexibility, and a commitment to safeguarding and student welfare.
