Internship Opportunity
We are excited to offer an internship opportunity in our Customer Excellence- Southern Europe team, starting in 2026. As an intern, you will play an integral role in supporting our consultancy and Platform projects.
What You Will Do
* Actively contribute to our consultancy projects, spanning climate action and smart places initiatives in southern Europe, as well as Communities projects.
* Conduct market research, explore policy mechanisms, new funding initiatives, networking events, and innovative solutions within the realm of climate action and smart cities.
* Accompany the BABLE team in overseeing and leading activities developing smart mobility systems and services across 10 EU Mission Cities and a multi-disciplinary consortium of key partners across Europe.
* Engage with citizens and stakeholders, co-designing use cases and solutions for sustainable and autonomous driving services in public transport, and support creating overarching guidelines for real-life demonstrators.
* Assist in the multi-stakeholder engagement with public transport service providers and tech companies to gather feedback and incorporate it into project development.
* Provide support to the project’s exploitation lead and outcomes through the conception of business models and replication.
* Evaluate European and national funding sources for innovation projects and accompany the team on building concept ideas to accompany European cities to apply for fund opportunities.
* Support the coordination of follow-up activities with 10 mission cities, and monitor their evaluation, tracking risks and deviations, and harvest insights on lessons learned from their use case deployment.
* Contribute to the project’s outcomes, including the support on writing deliverables and scientific results.

* Excellent command of MS Office tools, notably Excel and PowerPoint.
* Ability to work independently and represent the organisation in project meetings.

Your Profile
* A mandatory internship as part of your curriculum would be highly desirable.
* Native or professional level of English in both written and spoken is required. Proficiency in Spanish or German may allow you to work closely with other teams, but it isn’t a requirement.
* Proven years of study or practical experience in a relevant field – sustainable mobility, logistics, urban planning.
* Familiarization with the EU Policies and funding environments, such as Horizon Europe, or the NetZeroCities would be highly valued.
* Knowledge of the European Commission’s transportation coordination initiatives and grant management, in particular, the Zero-emission Road Transport (2Zero), and Connected, Cooperative and Automated Mobility (CCAM) will be an asset.
* Compulsory internship as part of the curriculum would be preferable.
* Professional level in English mandatory; knowledge in Spanish and/or German highly appreciated.
* Excellent communication skills and ability to work in an international and multidisciplinary team. Experience in project management would be an asset.
