Description Reporting directly to the Steel Plant Manager, the EAF manager will be in charge of: Scope of responsibility: EAF operations including raw material yards (scrap, HBI, DRI) Define and ensure follow-up of management area of responsability including health, safety, training and careers of the staff Define & follow-up the budget and forecasts Ensure the objectives of production, productivity, quality & spend of the mill prepare a flaw less commissioning of the new EAF and support industrial and commercial ramp up ( homologation,etc) Ensure the reliability of the operations and manage and develop the maintenance transformation plan. Steer the team of leaders of the mill and define their objectives Ensure compliance with the group policies and commitments Support strategy of decarbonization road map in Long Gijon and transversal projects Main responsibilities and activities: Management of Health & Safety policies Annual production Added costs and Fixed costs Productivity, energy efficiency and Yield Management and development of maintenance transformation plan implementation Management of quality Definition and evaluation of direct reports objectives and develop a multitask training concept Management of environmental plan in the EAF and scrap yards and HBI and DRI Validation of training plans and control of implementation Headcounts in the scope: Around 100-130 headcounts ( own and contractors) Requisitions: Metallurgical or Mechanical Engineer with some advanced business mgmt. program (TPL) Strong background in maintenance is mandatory At least 10 years of experience in EAF operations for high added value products Prior managerial experience on a senior level High level of English and at least B2 of Spanish
