Clearance Broker
We are excited to offer a position in our Customs Clearance team.
Responsibilities
Review shipment data to understand customer and regulatory requirements and check accuracy of documentation.
Use in-house systems to create accurate, legally compliant clearance declarations.
Contact customers or government agencies to clarify information when needed.
Resolve routine customer and customs disputes.
Build effective relationships with customers and help them choose the best suited clearance services.
Work within tight time frames in a busy office environment.
Qualifications
Good teamwork and experience contributing in a busy office environment.
Knowledge of clearance principles, import/export processes, and regulatory requirements; experience with CHIEF entries and commercial flight processing is desired.
Customer‐focused with excellent communication skills.
Attention to detail and ability to make sound numerical decisions within tight deadlines.
Good analytical and problem‐solving skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and PC skills.
Recent Advanced Customs Knowledge or a certificate of qualification (Customs Representative) – mandatory requirement.
