Summary Of Role & Key Responsibilities
The Mid-weight Designer is responsible for delivering creative, high-quality design work across multiple formats, bridging concept and execution. Working within a collaborative creative team, this role combines aesthetic sensitivity, technical skill and initiative to transform strategic ideas into compelling visual outputs. The Mid-weight Designer supports senior creatives while confidently managing their own design projects, ensuring all work meets brand standards and audience expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Design Execution: Collaborate with senior team members to design and deliver high-quality creative assets across digital, social, and print formats.
- Creative Thinking: Generate conceptual design responses to briefs, translating strategic principles into visually engaging solutions.
- Project Support: Assist the Creative Lead in developing presentations that effectively communicate creative rationale and strategic vision.
- Asset Delivery: Manage the roll-out and adaptation of final assets, ensuring consistency, accuracy and visual integrity across formats.
- Communication: Liaise with internal teams and, when appropriate, clients, to align creative outputs with project goals.
- Time & Workflow Management: Plan and manage workload efficiently, meeting tight deadlines without compromising quality.
- Trend Awareness: Stay current with design trends, tools and cultural movements, experimenting with new creative approaches.
- Presentation & Report Design: Design and develop visually compelling presentations and reports for internal and external clients using PowerPoint, Keynote, and presentation tools.
- Create and maintain brand consistency across presentations, reports, templates, and design assets.
- Incorporate dynamic elements such as animations, transitions, and multimedia to enhance engagement and storytelling.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- 2–3+ years of professional experience in design, preferably within an agency or creative studio environment.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating both conceptual and executional design work across multiple channels.
- Proven ability to balance creativity, detail and delivery in fast-paced projects.
Additional Skills
- Design Proficiency: Skilled in Adobe Creative Suite and Figma;
basic motion or 3D experience is a plus but not essential.
- Craft & Detail: Strong understanding of typography, composition and visual hierarchy with a genuine passion for design quality.
- Time Management: Excellent organisational skills and ability to handle multiple projects with accuracy and efficiency.
- Communication: Clear and professional communicator, comfortable working with creative leads, project managers and clients.
- Teamwork & Initiative: Positive, proactive attitude with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to understand briefs and audiences, creating relevant, purposeful design outcomes.
- Adaptability: Willingness to learn, iterate and evolve creative approaches in line with feedback and emerging trends.
- Innovation: Curiosity for experimenting with new techniques, tools and design formats.
