Senior IT Network Engineer en Barcelona.
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior IT Network Engineer to join our clients European IT team.
- Experience in managing LAN and WAN networks
- Expertise with Windows Linux and AS400 operating systems
- Proficiency in cloud solutions specifically Azure and expertise in managing Checkpoint and FortiGate firewalls are essential
Network Management
- Design implement and maintain LAN and WAN networks.
- Monitor network performance and ensure system availability and reliability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network issues ensuring high levels of performance security and availability.
System Administration
- Manage and support Windows Linux and AS400 operating systems.
- Perform system upgrades installations and configurations.
- Implement and manage virtualized environments.
- MS Office365 tenant administration including Teams Exchange SharePoint general tenant settings etc.
- VmWare virtual environment administration.
- Backup supervision (Veritas BackupExec and Veeam)
Cloud Management
- Design deploy and manage Azure cloud services.
- Ensure seamless integration and operation of cloud solutions with on-premises infrastructure.
Security Management
- Configure manage and maintain Checkpoint and Fortigate firewalls.
- Implement and monitor security measures to protect data software and hardware.
- Conduct regular security assessments and audits.
- Leadership and Management
- Demonstrate strong management capabilities leading teams effectively to achieve operational goals.
- Provide mentorship and training to junior staff and ensure adherence to best practices and company policies.
Help Desk Coordination
- Oversee the help desk services ensuring timely and effective support to end-users.
- Develop and implement help desk policies and procedures.
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Senior System Administrator Infrastructure Engineer Network Engineer or a similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of LAN WAN and network management.
- Expertise in Windows Linux and AS400 operating systems.
- Proven experience with Azure cloud services and data center management.
- Strong knowledge of Checkpoint and Fortigate firewall management.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- English and Spanish at a professional level French would be a plus.
